Laulara Birthing Centre Project

Renovation of a building in Kotolau suco in Laulara Sub-District for use as a birthing centre. The Centre opened on 30 April 2012. The cost of the project was approximately AU$18,600. Funds were provided (60%) by Merri Community Health Service and some other NGOs, plus individual donors. Fundraising is ongoing to meet the cost of operating and equipping the Centre.
